    Default Alienware

Ok I am just wondering.... Are the alienware desktops and laptops really worth all the money? I think that they are good no doubt but Are you really paying all that money for the components or are you paying for the case and the flashing lights and logo?

All are welcome to post there comments...

It's cheaper to build as you watch prices go down. Yes you're paying for all the flashy lights and brand. It's like buying expensive name brand clothes when you can buy similar knockoffs.(maybe not the best example, because quality is the same between alienware and the parts you buy)

TBH your better off buying the parts and building yourself. You will get a better quality and you will know the pc inside and out which will help you with upgrading and overclocking for extream performance.

well when i checked out the Alienware laptops fully configured with a 4 year warranty, it ended up being like $3200. Hence why i decided not to get it. But if your willing to spend around $3k for a laptop, then yes i would get it. As for desktops, no just build your own. You can make an amazingly fast pc for under $1k

    Alienware:
They buy cheap parts in bulk.
They build the computer for you in a flashy $100 case.
They sell it for over twice the price as what they payed for the parts.

    Custom Built:
You buy the parts online, the exact same parts.
You throw it in a case of your choice, you could buy an Alienware case from the same place that they get theirs.
You have the exact same computer for $1000 less.
