If you are SURE you don't have a firewall:

Open a command prompt window and type: ping -a download.knightonlineworld.com .
See if it resolves that to an IP and if you get any responses.

If you're not getting any responses at all try to flush your DNS by doing that:

ipconfig /flushdns

If this doesn't work either, try to use a DNS server from another provider, if you tell me what country you live in and possible 2-3 major providers in your country i might be able to help you. (Websites of the providers would help).

remember windows XP has firewall, and if ur homepage is set 2 google, ull also have an auto google firewall

try openning the launcher again. it worked for me at the 3rd time- downloading patch right now

the fact was i manually downloaded patch 1454 using the ftp adress
For Countess:Im in Romania,main provider is RDS

Its not a new error or something.I used to get so many errors like this in my KO life.

So just be patient and try it later.I had the same error but now its ok .

Did you try to ping it as i told you?

The fact that you downloaded the patch before means that you propably don't have a problem with your DNS server since it got resolved earlier but sometimes this happens to me so i use a primary DNS server from 1 provider and a secondary from a totally different provider.

Also try to flush the DNS as i told you earlier.

Let me know what happens.
