This has nothing to do with your windows registry.

I got this problem quite a bit even before RoFD, two things made it go away:

    1) Temporary solution: Restart your Modem AND PC.
    2) Permanent solution: Find a DNS server from another provider and use it as your secondary one.

e.g. If you're from Greece for example, there are lots of providers, 2 of them are OTEnet and FORTHnet.

OTEnet's primary DNS servers are: 195.170.0.1 and 195.170.2.2
FORTHnet's primary DNS servers are: 193.92.110.1 and 193.92.110.2

YOUR DNS should be: Primary: 195.170.0.1 (OTEnet)
    2ndrary: 193.92.110.1 (FORTHnet)

You can change your DNS servers by:

If you're using an ADSL Router, just log-in to the router and manually edit your DNS tables.

If you're connecting through LANmight apply to ADSL connections too)
Start -> Run -> control netconnections , right click on your internet connection, select Internet Protocol TCP/IP, click on Properties

Could be that too, but, just tried it:

    beast:~# ftp download.knightonlineworld.com
    Connected to kndownload.knightonlineworld.com.
220 download.knightonlineworld.com NcFTPd Server (licensed copy) ready.
    Name (download.knightonlineworld.com:root):

But it could be full like 15 secs ago..
