So I guess I got lucky from dragon boxes, got a pontus set+1. As a mage should I use that, or IN + pontus belt, IB + pontus neck, or ep3 + ib/pontus belt?

Also, why are bifrost rings so cheap now?

DER that info would be useful I guess. Plans are attack mage fire (i can afford it) or uber ice mage attack/support ( again, I can afford to make that work)

I'm used to being able to ironset + fr3 + krowaz + decent staff, Or my old ice mage was tank build with oasis+9.

Well since bonus MP from items counts at PVP your bulid for flame should be like this :

Dual Fr +3
Ep +3
Dual Lkp +3
Krowaz set +7/8
Lbol +3/ Pontus /glass for switch

Staffs:

Fire Utc +8 - Best Nova /staff dmg + 30 bonus deff and quite cheap
Fulitol +7 - If you want to have curse
