I use WinRAR to compress the KO folder and zipped it is only 434 MB big.
So you can easily take it with you whenever you go (addicted) on a CD or a USB stick.
I have encountered no problems with running the game after unzipping the folder .
You have to have it installed though to be able to apply large patches
(like the RoFD one or the one for the KOWorldChampionship that came out some months ago)
