I'd suggest getting atleast 7 or 8 (with trinas) before going for it.

I was playing on girakon b4 the servers went down, first time I made a character there. I went to lvl 23 cuz I got a bit bored from too much gayness on ares, and was lvl'ing on some werewolfs. I got a wood staff +8, two-handed sword +8 and a wood staff +6, and a few low class upgrade scrolls and some middle class. Before servers went down, I went to go upgrade them. Upgraded the staff +6 went to +7, then the sword, and burned to +9, and then upgraded the +7 staff went to +8 One of the easiest upgrades I've ever done xD
