    well how is it really down ? a +8 can be upgraded to +9 every 9000 upgrades(these numbers are trivial just using random ones to make a point) i mean its pure insanity to try going +10 unless you have tons of coin or usd and in that case just buy a GM lol

    With 10 tries there's only a 16.7% chance of making exactly one (given the 2% is true)[/b]
    i have no idea how u calculated this, but when its 2% then 2x 10 times = 20 %
    2 % means when u do it 50 times u should come out whit a +10. as 2x 50 tries = 100%

    I'm sure it has happened, but that doesn't mean he went to the anvil with 100 cleavers going +10..

    He simply upgraded one or two and got lucky as all fuck.. He hit the 2/100 chance that he had..

    Go math class please. Even with 1000 +9's it won't be 100% to make a +10, it will only approach 100%.
    Calculated it with some function on my calculator btw, can't remember how it worked though :P

    Chance on failing all with 50 tries at 2% success rate is 36% btw (On TI-83: binompdf(50,.02,0).

    approch 100% basically means its near the maximum. = sucess. (it can only be full 100% when the rate is 100%.)
    and for ur 16,7% calculation, i wanna see the formula you used, and please try to explain it also, coz otherwize i will think u dont know what ur talking about

    Where did you get 2%? There is no such thing as percentage table <_<[/b]
    yeah their is

    its called dbo.ITEM_UPGRADE .

    its like

    10000 = 100%
    1000 = 10%
    100 = 1%

    There is no number to assure you that it will go through. You could go to the anvil with all the +9 items in your server and burn them all. Just like you could just go with one and make your precious +10.

    Honestly you will be better off selling whatever items you have and buying a +10 or just trading them. If you want to be the first person on your server with a +10 item then just get as many +9s as you can afford then burn everything that you can (which doesnt do much really) and trina all the +9s but chances are they will al burn.

    +9 is more than enough

    Binomial Distribution

    X= number of success (k), p=chance for success, n=sample size.
