Mages also don't have heals, cures or duffs which is all a BP has going for them. It completely depends who you attach. A priest can deal shit damage to an unduffed 1450def warrior yet a mage will do a lot more damage because it's based on resists. Same thing goes if a rogue with MS has 130 to all resists then the mage will deal less damage than helis.

Point being, mages damage is much less random than a typical melee class, which is why mages pwn... hardly anyone carries around fire talia.. and few carry around other resist talias in normal pk. (although they should)

Back to the topic, as light I did average 500-550dmg with imir +1/rom and elixer +8.. as fire I did around 600-700.. both being 160int and rest into MP.

540 - 660 fire blade without flamr ings . with duel +2 /+3 flame rings it can incrase damage sick hard ...
and then again .. " the damage u do to oppenent show on ur info is not the same on oppnent info bar ur dam delt calulated decreased by his fr etc "

dual +1 imirs and an elixir +8 about a year ago on my diez mage i hit a bp for 1.1k with light blade ;x but on average it was about 350 on the most baba'd warriors and on average 500-600. bps and low res chars i would do usually 700-800+.. that plus the stun rate.. good god :wub: denox for those rings. it got worse with a +2 imir and a rol though ;x

Pfff more then Helis? priest w/o book and Helis still hit more then staff :\ , also i've mage lvl 72 im ice support , shio tears and GE+7 i hit people for over 350 . sometimes 300 sometimes 400+ , but i support mage for now , not attack one.

didnt try fire with 160 int build just light which hitted for 400+

I hit ppl for 300-350 with my 42 ice skill.....garp +6, dual shios, lvl 65....but its girakon so.

i think light mage with imir rings maybe can be better than a bp, coz the stun... rest got owned easily to a bp, coz parasite + torment ftw

On my lvl 72 mage (Enough MP to wear Elysium +7) Rest into HP, no imir rings.

I do about 400-500 on average. But I'm thinking about going ice mage cause when i was pking this mage lvl 72 with the staff skill was slowing me 1/3 times with 100 gr :s

depends on the builds you have. ofc paper BP will hit much more then a mage. on the other hand mage will deal fukloads less dmg to a chitin bp. try blading the magic shielded rouge, then try helising him and check if your theory is right. Those things are hard to compare, because thankfully the game allows to create many different builds.
