Look at the event window... "Using Lightning armor". You put it up and walk into some noobs, hoping that one will melee you and get 1-hit by your lightning armor. Or maybe use instantly, then 2 lightning armors when they start hitting you. You can use skills on yourself but not on the enemy nation.

The person you killed probably didn't have NP. We get tons of NP waiting for the noobies to spawn.
