Of course guns kill people, only NRA-freaks usually spout the "people kill people" stuff, generally ignoring how gun murders are waaaaaaay higher in countries where guns are legal, compared to where they are not. As eddie izzard said "guns dont kill people, they just make it easier. Shouting BANG wont kill anyone" ^_^

The broken bones are caused by falling. The hole in the skull is caused by the bullet. But the illness that leads to death is not caused by AIDS. You dont catch the flu due to AIDS, it merely means that your body's ability to fight it is compromised. A better analogy would be an albino sun bather who rather stupidly decides to sun bathe in the baking sun without any protection. Mr albino later learns that he has skin cancer and he eventually dies as a result. Albinos have little to no protection in their skin against the suns rays, similarly to how someone with AIDS has no protection against viruses. But we dont say that the albino died of albinism, rather that he died of skin cancer.
