As far as I know, the characters used to scan other players were banned and they stopped scanning people.
Yeh thats what did happend. When they first started to ban all those "scanner accounts" it was becouse goldfarmers, cheaters etc. did abuse it and then while ago they tryed to come back, but they got almost instant bans so they decited that it was the end of en era.
There's a bit of a difference between seeing the items that characters have equipped, and... info about items.
There's a difference between an actual post and a "I wanna go to the fucking marketplace" post.
