1. That lawyer should read the Terms of Service. The character is K2's property and they can do what they want with it.

2. I'm not sure how they are supposed to contact the layers back when the email address doesn't even exist. Although the address apparently does.

The fact that the letter is so old shows that K2 didn't buckle under the pressure and didn't pay the $700, so court it is. As much as I think K2's service is terrible, there is no case here.

17. TERMINATION


(a) The Company may terminate this Agreement (including your Software license and Account) immediately and without notice if you breached this Agreement or willfully infringe any third party intellectual property rights, or if The Company are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us, or upon Game play, chat or any player activity whatsoever which is, in our sole discretion, inappropriate and/or in violation of the spirit of Knight Online as described in the Rules of Conduct. If The Company terminates this Agreement under any circumstances, you will lose access to your Account without refund of any fees paid for the purchases of any Game Items or Knight Cash.


(B) You agree that if the Service or your Account is terminated or cancelled for any reasons or length of time, you are not entitled to any reimbursement or refund of any fees paid for the purchases of any Game Items or Knight Cash.

Sending a letter to a company using a lawyers paper is the oldest trick in the book. It means the company you complain to automatically takes you more seriously. Even in america no retard lawyer would take that case.

on the surface it might appear cut and dry, but the legality of trying to assert lack of responsibility on one front or the other is a matter better left dealt in court. its about fuking time k2 got sued. i hope they lose and send all teh suckers back to rl :lol:
