KO making my internet go slow?

This is a discussion on KO making my internet go slow? within the General Chat forums, part of the Knight Online (ko4life.com) category; Whenever i am in KO my net just goes soo slow..while browsing the net and everything any ideas why...

    it gets ur cpu usage to 100%, thats why ur web browser loads slow...not the internet connection....i think

    Dual core fixes that problem, since only one of the processors gets to 100%, so my comp runs at 50% usage, i get no problems playing other games while i merchant in ko.

    go to task manager and then process tab and right click knightonline.exe and set priority to low

    problem solved

    yeah i got also dual core 3.4ghz and 1gb ram

    but sometimes i mean the internet is a bit slower when im ingame

    i dunno it just seems like it never used to do this till now
    like i could always play ko and not have a problem browsing the web

    ko runs on more memory than wow... go figure

    I don't have too much of a prob, but I also have dual core. I think the combination of very large memory usage coupled with your antivirus trying not to freak out over how many files they are sending and recieving from your computer can slow you down as well. K2's anti-hack and anti-cheat programs are virtually viruses, and tend to slow you down while browsing or doing anything else on your computer. This is why ventrilo, teamspeak, videos made from gamecam/fraps can be really skippy and slow at times.

    I Dont have Dualcore, but Ko doesnt slow me that much.
    I guess its about how much your Pc is messed up as well.
