when I have problems with the launcher I just open a IE page (no firefox or something like that), dunno why, but a message to connect internet appears and then it works <_<, even when my net is up :P

Try a /flushdns. Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig /flushdns

Whenever this kinda stuff happens, I do this, and it works.

I think that I had the some problem like you, I have restarted my comp. and this help me. Try to do it, maybe this will help you 2.
