I'm positive that even if someone doesn't log in you get your item back sooner or later,I'm sure mgames is not that stupid to just implement this kind of thing and miss something as obvious as this,besides they are having this rental system (mgames/KOKO and Japko) since KE,so I'm sure even if there was something like that at the beginning now it is fixed...

I'm sure you can't bug it,It is the same as Valkyries,Griphons,Ws/e,and you didn't see people bugging it so they could use it forever(even though there was some kind of a bug that made the date dissappear,but in the end it was just a visual bug),every item that can't be traded has a special ID,so unless you manage to hack K2's db and change the ID you can't bug it,that's the reason you need a rental scroll (I assume).

i've seen lots of chitin shields in rental, if same thing would be happening with cs and owner wouldn't get it back, it would be very annoying
