it is possible for a +3 unique to be duped because that +3 unique could be duped and the owner could have several of those...so i still wouldnt risk it

yea but that's why any duper would just delete the extra items.

I only read first few posts...

When you compound you have IDs, yes? Say you are making a +2

You have ID 1,2,3 to make +1 (ID 123)
You have ID 4,5,6 to make another +1 (ID 456)
You have ID 7,8,9 to make the last +1 (ID 789)

You now combine. You have a +2 with ID 123456789, but unique +0 (ID 9) was duped. It is still in there so when wipe comes along whole item goes bb

Happened to :::Hobbitz::: and ChanTic0 (Or someone in Refugee) both with Agethe Earrings +2

Are you sure it works like that?? I don't think it makes much sense.
"ID 123"?? is that ID1+ID2+ID3?? making it a really long ID??

If i had to guess how it worked, ill guess it choses a random ID (out of the 3 uniques) and asigns it to the compounded one.

I only said it was a guess.

Plus, if you know we are all wrong then it means that you know EXACTLY how it is done. Why not tell us??

because i'm a bit of a bastard, plus i have a responsibilty not to aid dupers :P

i know the people posting here are purely interested in the subject but there is no doubt that dupers could abuse the factual information to make items that are in the eyes of the game legitimate. No sense in doing that though is there?
