everytime i try a name, it comes up with "that id is already used by someone etc"

I have tried so many different names, each with different variations, and yet none seem to work.

yesterday i namechanged my mage fine, but cant seem to namechange my priest.

ive tried (seriously) over 150+ names.

I even typed in a bunch of shit like this "afjafn3jy37yhfa34" and yet it still was taken.

so no, thats definetly not the problem.

I guess just submit a support ticket, but I don't think that will get much done...if you REALLY want to NC though, I guess try buying another one..
