NEED TIPS ON UPGRADING PERSONAL WEAPON

hi guys.once again i tried to up grade my +6personal to +7. and as previously said i tried it before but instead of breaking my +7raptor i made it +8 and so i had to postpone it for today.about an hour ago,i prepared myself to upgrade my personal for 2nd time :P and this time i wanted to break a +8glave, AND once again ifailedd to upgrade my personal because my +8glve went +9 !!! now im getting a lil wierded out why i keep succeding on the items i didnt expect to upgrade:P well because of my curiousity, nex time i will try my personal AGAIN i will try to break my +7giga :P AND THEN we will see what happens :P

w3ll with my sword i took it to +3 without nothing , then i just trena it to +6 easy as cake. when i was going to +6 i shut my eyes and prayed to ko gods.... thats all i got man B)
