Knight Online hopes to rejuvenate in Taiwan
On October 8th, Mgame signed a publishing contract with Game Flier to service Knight Online in Taiwan. Through this contract, Knight Online will resume its service for Taiwanese gamers. Previously, Knight Online was exported to Taiwan in 2002 through X-Legend, a Taiwanese game publisher (Discontinued. Initial operation: 2002 October ~ 2005) and received favorable responses from Taiwanese gamers. This time, Knight Online will be published through Game Flier, a subsidiary of Soft World that is a major game distributor/developer in Taiwan. Game Flier is known for its successful distribution records of Ragnarok Online in Taiwan online gaming market.
Knight Online, developed by Noah System, is a free-to-play 3D MMORPG based on medieval, fantasy settings. It’s known for its exciting PvP features that lets users engage in an immersive, large-scale war. Knight Online is a “steady-seller” both domestically and globally. There is also a world championship tournament every year for Knight Online, where players from the United States, Japan and Korea simultaneously take part in. The game is currently exported to Japan (Knight Online Xross) and the United States (Knight Online World), but as both versions accept registration of users from any location in the world, Knight Online has indeed positioned itself as a global game.
“We are aiming for another renaissance in the Asian game market with the launch of Knight Online in Taiwan,” said Seung Hoon Choi, the Director of Global Business Division for Mgame. The CEO of Game Flier also remarked, “Local gamers usually enjoy casual games, but recently, they have taken new interest in PvP battle contents. The kind of battle system and the scale of wars that Knight Online can offer will definitely attract Taiwanese users.”
