Making the "crack" more available for people worldwide.
Gold farmers and Babasellers are going to make another killing.
LOL
I thought it was a different company..but it's still k2/g1...
Not looking forward to this even if it's true.
Athenrye has a point there, what are they going to do ?Ban the Europe from USKO and have them start from scratch on EUKO or inject their baba'd +10/+3 accounts into the EUKO version ?
that is awesome
I cant read/understand those letters. I thought this story is a just a rumor, a fake bs, but now im confused. I just restarted the game on C-West. Im from Hungary, so if they will release EUKO then i wont be able to join C-West due to the IP ban. I dont know why it is good to make EUKO, why do they need changes like this. They sould work on koxp instead of these shits...

Athenrye wrote it to the official forum:
And also, whats your thoughts about MGame's decsision about making new KO for european people? And how is it going to effect USKO & GamersFirst?
As I said before, I haven't gotten any official word on any of the recent discussion or rumors about a European version of KOL. As such, all following speculation is purely hypothetical.
Hypothetically speaking, I don't believe a European version of KOL would work. First of all, the current European player base in KOWorld is small and doesn't afford anywhere near enough regular income to make it a viable independent market. There would have to be some sort of massive advertising blitz to draw attention to such an old game, especially in the face of far superior titles coming out soon, as well as plenty of other modern MMOs going Free2Play as of late. I don't see it being able to compete.
Secondly, it would depend on how the developers would handle existing character data. I can't imagine they'd want to fully import all existing European accounts from KOWorld to the new version since they'd be opening brand new servers, meaning everyone would have to start from scratch. I'm sure that none of our European players who have been with KOWorld for years now would be very inclined to lose all their progress and then expected to start all over again. If the developers did port over the existing accounts fully, then their new server would instantly become tremendously imbalanced due to an overabundance of high-tier characters with lots of money and items immediately controlling the market and dominating PvP zones to the point of uselessness.
So what you end up with is an old game being thrown at a region that may not be able to offer a sustainable market for it, while also estranging its already existing player base. Surely I can't be the only one who sees that as a problem, right?
As for how such a move would affect GamersFirst and KOWorld? Again, hypothetically speaking, not much at all.
As I said, the European market is small and not having them in KOWorld would present a minor decrease in player population and incoming revenue. It would suck, but it's not going to break the bank, so to speak. The loss of those regions and the resulting backlash of other players in non-European regions also leaving the game as a result could potentially be more troublesome, but overall not a major issue. We would tighten our belts and soldier on like we always do when the developers do something... 'inadvisable', to put it delicately. It would be more likely that European players would just proxy into KOWorld rather than be forced to start fresh on a local version, especially if they had enough warning ahead of time to move all their gear and gold over to their clan mates for safe keeping prior.
i think they wont do anything and its only rumors about EUKO.
but if its true usko prices goes down down and all players will leave usko slowly :P
Why would North America leave USKO to play EUKO? Doesn't make sense. Even if a lot of the Euro population on cwest decided to leave, C West will be fine because of the Aussies and South Americans. The only thing I see happening is that prices drop a lot since ppl will be selling out. Also it would only be a matter of time before koxp/hacks arrive on those EUKO servers and u'll see overpowered IGI there too.
I really hope they will do something.. Its been a long time and I really would like to play an official server with harder rates without it dieing in couple months and then restarting or going down.
Could be fun, maybe we could get a decent KO then instead of the corrupted american ko...
