Not anymore. The KO players are all somewhat skilled nowadays so even if you're better than the other team, without somewhat equal gear you'll get stomped.

Are there really that many uberdupers though? Like more than in the days of K2? It was fairly packed back then too, I'd say something like 20-30% of deaths people would complain about due to babashopping. I can't imagine it really being worse than that these days.

The caveat is this: going in to CZ without DD/wep gear has ALWAYS been a terrible idea imo, especially for mages and priests. Having a DD/wep set ready should give a reasonable amount of protection, no? (again, going by old school logic...not sure how much of this applies anymore ><).
