ive killed this in DCZ many times and all i get is coined...same with any other boss i dont have prem. is that why?

ive killed many bosses and it is always coined..and i know if i had gold/bronze or w.e i would get something good.
is the boss drops without premium really low or what?

If you are prem or not it doesn't affect the drops , it only affects the amount of coins you get.

premium affects the drop rate of things, at least silver and gold do dont know about bronze, what premium doesn't affect is the quality of the item, remember that even a potion is a drop xD
