Um yes it has existed. They can dupe your item if I'm not mistaken. At least thats what a lot of people do on ke versions of ps.

Trade hack is one of biggest mystery on KO from its start, there were always people scared to trade items and spreading rumor abotu this hack ... as i can see it persist even 5 years after as some other mysteries and rumors. But there isnt such trade hack.

Other thing is trade scam, when people set up some items then cancel trade and set again, but other crappy item with same image.
