You misinterpreted something. The database ( including the character tables etc. ) actually belongs to MGAME. But they got locked out of their servers so they have no access to it. K2 will be forced to give everything to MGAME.
We'll see how that turns out, though. K2 will probably go asshole and damage the files lol.

well thats kinda how i understood it was, still not too far from reality

truth is that mgame has no current possession of the files and they will probably never get them back. even if they did.. they are so corrupted due to k2's "business" that i seriously doubt they would take the time wiping all of those items 1 by 1.
