A petition for an official myko server ?

So has anyone thought of making a petition for an official myko style server ? I'm pretty sure it would be a success player wise, and it would hardly die after a year like most PS's.
Let me hear what you think.

Probably KE. And i realy doubt they would make it since they cant get as much money as they can from the current version.

official will never make one because mgame rent the license to EUKO/USKO, meaning any updates or changes they make must resemble mgames decisions, if they don't then they void that contract.

I don't see why mgame would refuse giving a licence for this kind of servers, they will have their money and they dont need to do any work.

go read up a little on licensing per country etc, EU and the US nttgame have the license and must abide by them, you'd have to be from somewhere out of the US / Europe to even be considered to get a license, then there's proving your a valid company and you need to host other games already also, so yeah its a good idea, but no it will never happen unfortunately.

I remember reading a post in USKO's forums a while back about it (probably K2 network times), and apparently it was something they'd got asked a lot. The gist of the response from the community liaison at the time was something like (paraphrasing from memory), it's something mgame won't consider because they're solely interested in moving forward, not back.

I'm assuming what also comes into that is they'd need to backport bugfixes and the like, and we all know how great mgame are with those.

Back in the day they didnt have so much competition but nowdays no new players will join older ko versions.

"Would be" a welcoming sight to see an official server running older version of KO. Without all the crap available from PUS.
