Is renting gear still working?

Hi I just came back to play SteamKO Cypher.

Is renting still around? (500k for shell 7 / iron bow 7)

The npc isnt doiing anything for me right now.

I don't think the rental gear vendor works in SteamKO, much like half the other features in this game. But hey! Welcome to SteamKO!

i was going to say it never worked for me, even in USKO but that was when it first came out, and i never tried it again after that.

The renting feature on STKO was available for the first 1-2months after STKO was released.
Not a bug nor anything like that, it was disabled intentionally.

I don't think it will be added back any time soon (or added at all).

Well if they will bring it back that would be a great idea for players that are not so much active.
For quick pk or few hours/week of gameplay rental makes sense.

Koxp from what I read on the steam forums they would rent better equipment to make it easier to farm, removing the rental system didn't seem to really slow them down though.

But chitin +8 and a good set of olds is not hard to farm and you can easily PK with that, I did for a long while in beramus.
