Sherrifs are the connection between normal users to gms. A sheriff can send obvious cheaters to jail and therefore help to keep the server clean. Once a character ha been sent multiple times to jail a gm will check him out, or so they say...
you also need two sheriffs to approve and then they'll be sent to jail, however the person that is getting reported must be online to be reported
so , who is being chosen to be one ? and can he like , send messages from us , the ''normal '' people to the gms ?
they have a special secret section in the official forums. that's good enough way to contact a GM isn't it?
Is this sheriff thing new? Never heard of it or maybe its just on USKO.
1) Account is at least 3 years old
2) Is not in a clan that has had more than 3 infractions in the past 6 months
3) Account has never been banned by a GM
4) Account has never been detected by APR (unless it was a false positive detection)
5) Player has demonstrated fairness and sets a positive example for others on their server
6) Absolutely, NO ACCOUNT SHARERS
anyone know when this started? I think is a great system!
it is a great system indeed, its sad that players gotta do a gms job for free but at least servers are cleaner this way.
they are no different than official forum mods. it would be cool if all of them quit so k2 would have to hire actual moderators... but yeah, theres no way they would EVER quit their mod "jobs" seeing how thats the only thing that keeps them alive
at least sheriffs i can understand, but official mods? the epitome of stupidity.
i bet k2 is enjoying saving money :P
(also reminds of LoL's tribunal system)
