60 extra poison with a pair of them is a lot of damage on some warrior types. The disadvantage of poison on the daggers is pretty much offset when you are getting 200 dmg solely from the poison.

Remember, poison is not affected by armor, it takes poison resistance to cut down the damage from a poison attack. Everyone focusses on light and flame res, so high poison dmg is a good thing.
