i downloaded it and installed, when i click on icon to play game all i ever get is, Now Checking Server, re-launch later, its been saying that for a few hours now, wtf??

ive been bouncing around a lot of games lately, GW, WoW, KO, LOA, CS:S and cz and 1.6, Hero,
just too many lol
open up the "SERVER.DAT" in your legend of ares folder with notepad then copy paste the stuff ive quoted
ive done this cause i had the same problems as you and it wouldnt load to the launcher to get the patches after doing this i have been able to get to the launcher and d/l all current patches of the game >.< and it works fully so if you do this you shouldnt have any problems[LOGIN_SERVER]COUNT = 3

there is no server.dat ion my loa folder, ONLY the loa icon, and it wont let me open with =S

your folder should be something if not 100% like that :S i opened all the stuff you should need to make sure it runs right ><
