When 2 servers are getting merged and there are 2 players with identical nicknames ..what's going to happen ..who earns the original name ?

Basically you get prompted to pick a new (free) name. This only occurs if someone else on the other server has your ign also, so if you wanted a name change and no one on the other server has your name, you can open up a char with the same name and get a free name change.

Who earns the original name.. well, the player that manages to pick it first.
As simple as that.

E.g. server X got merged with server Y, in both servers there is a character named "Talos" whoever manages to login and pick this nickname first will be able to keep it.
Meaning that even if someone that didn't have this nickname before tried to take it before the two other players manage to, he'll be able to do that.

As if this nickname was never taken.
