Okay, So there has been a lot of talk here on forums as to scamming people and the legality. Some of you have the stupidity to actually think that since it's virtual it isn't a crime. I've stated more than once that if you sell something, just about anything, you enter into a contract for whatever that thing is (virtual, tangible, or service provided to another for monies). Once you breech a contract and don't make good on it, you are committing fraud. I also stated that sooner or later someone with the time, energy and resources would go after the virtual criminal. So, here you go:

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or religious fanatic to know when something is right and wrong. Most Laws are created because idiots need to be governed for lack of responsibility and pride.

Chinese gamer was stabbed to death in a row over a sword in a game.

Shanghai gamer Qiu Chengwei killed player Zhu Caoyuan when he discovered he had sold a "dragon sabre" he had been loaned.[/b]

The chinese sword is an old story. I think the guy went to the police first but they could not do anything, so he decided to go the old way.

Another comment about this is, just because someone scammed items from another guy, and a third party has those items, in RL those items are still stolen goods...just food for thought because there are a few of you out there who know ur items were stolen off people and you never returned them to their rightful owners.

oh, and since its illegal in k2's tos to sell any item/char, its your fault if you get scammed. Stealing premmy/kc i soppose can be justified, as that is a legally obtained item.

Its like selling coke, and going to the police when you get robbed, you're not sopposed to be doing it, so they have no problem ignoring it.

Virtual theft is a growing issue in virtual worlds; in 2005 a Chinese gamer was stabbed to death in a row over a sword in a game.

Shanghai gamer Qiu Chengwei killed player Zhu Caoyuan when he discovered he had sold a "dragon sabre" he had been loaned.

Wow, murder for a freaking sword. Now thats just crazy.

only reason this happened is because they used a scam site which is actually a crime its completely different from wat ur insinuating above and it would only be possible if k2 acted with authorities otherwise it would never be possible and only reason it would be possible is if the scam site creator is dumb and doesn't cover his shit up

and if the items are bull shit in the first place rightful owners dont deserve jack shit the items deserve to be deleted cunt
