What is better shard +8 or cleaver +9?

Raptor+8 is 187/80
Bardish+9 is 184/90

I can believe that the extra 10 elemental can make up for the loss of 3ap, but adding an extra 200dmg on top? rofflecopter. Then again, i guess it depends on who you tested, if it was a naked duffed mage and your spamming 2k dmg, a 200dmg increase isn't a very high percent. :P

But if your hitting a warrior for 500dmg with a raptor, and then hit 700dmg with bardish, haha. xD[/b][/quote]

Sorry paddy but thats a huge load of crap. Not even a raptor+9 hits 200 more damage per hit than a raptor +8. Care to explain how 10 elemental damage can produce so damage even after an AP loss? ... You know that when the weapon is red you have to take it to sundries and do a repair right.

do i make the facts? nah i just report on them

chose to believe me, or not really doesnt matter, but the biggest difference i saw was really 200 on a guy with a priest with the level 70 shield

btw felankor ring helps too with the added dex seemingly upping the 'crit' rate on hits

Considering that i have seen 2 separate tests that both showed that it DOES affect damage, I would think twice before discarding it as a myth. But, i guess you are just a retarded noob huh...

I think i would probably use a shard +8 because the difference in AP is marginal, and I don't like to look noobish.
