Post your comments here, and other rules you think we should have (reasonable posts will only be considered; rude, offensive and absurd posts will be deleted, and the user will be warned).

Restrictions and WHY they are here
No Spamming
This rule is to prevent topics that are useless in nature and hinder the process of finding productive posts that actually contribute to both the community and the game(s). This includes referral sites and other sites of that nature, and posting questions that have already been answered. Please use the SEARCH feature if you need to search for a topic.
No Scamming, Nor Trading of Duped, Database Injected Items, or Illegally-Created GM Items
This is to prevent our users from losing items that they deserve (and paid sufficiently for).
No Pornographic/Hate-Related/Excessively Vulgar Images, Links, or Text
This is to keep most parts of ko4life "work-safe" and productive. In addition, it is to prevent our users from being offended and maintaining peace.
No Posting of Cheats/Hacks, etc.
This is to prevent the spread of these cheats and hacks, and the decay of the game even further. In addition, many of these cheats contain keyloggers and other malicious files, and could hurt your computer. If you find these, it's suggested not to download them, and simply ignore them if you wish to keep your account.
No Flaming, or Instigating Flames
This is to prevent further flame wars, excessive spam, and generally obstruction of the community. Flaming is defined as offensive material (as determined by a moderator) and should never be used in any part of ko4life.
No Posting of Malicious Files and Other Users' Sensitive Information (address, account information, etc)
Again, this is used to protect our users and their privacy.
Do not post links to any remotely-commercial private websites unauthorized by ko4life
Selling items for USD is illegal as per the Knight Online TOS, and supporting such actions is not what we intend. Do not post "new" sites without the proper authorization from the ko4life moderation team. To apply for authorization, make a post in the ko4life Problem Resolution Center.
Your signature should not be excessively large
This is to prevent users in general to be able to view the forum with ease and without many problems with signatures turned on. Your signature should not be excessively large (usually 400x200, and/or subjectively) and should not be more than 700 kb in total size (images, etc.) to prevent long-loading times for forum pages.
Do not revert a moderator/administrator's decision
That is, if a moderator/administrator changes your post, you must keep the changes that way. If reversions are made and are NOT by a moderator/administrator, a permanent ban will be placed. This is, obviously, to ensure the success and credibility of moderation. This does not apply for signatures, as long as you follow the signature restrictions.
No racism will be tolerated.
We want to keep the community as friendly as possible. Racism is no way to contribute to it.
The Turkish IP Ban
No, we are not doing it because we don't like Turks. We are doing it for strictly security reasons. I'm sure you all remember when there was a massive Distributed Denial of Service Attack (A.K.A DDoS attack) on our servers awhile ago, and to keep our site up we had to take this extreme measure. When we did drop the IP ban for a couple weeks, the DDoS simply returned. This is strictly a security issue. We may consider lifting this ban again.

Especially since now there are less mods active than before, there may be posts that may be considered offensive and bannable, and action had not been taken. In many cases people consider this as favoritism, when it is merely oversight. If you feel that any post is in infraction of any rule on ko4life, please do the following:
Visit the ko4life Problem Resolution Center and post your issue, with the link to the post and a short explanation why it is in infraction of the rules.
Because now you have the ability to report posts (though you always have had the ability), I want no more whining that "only some people are warned for certain infractions" when this is simply not true. Every Member has equality and it is therefore enforced as such.
Please do NOT PM a moderator or administrator about post issues, but instead post it in the ko4life Problem Resolution Center. Problems about rule infractions should be kept in the Problem Resolution Center.

What is racism?
Racism, in this forum, is defined formally as offending a group or a race with slander, hate phrases, and other forms of excessive messaging. Do I care if you grew up in a society full of racists, or if you grew up where everyone hated ________ race? No. Argument of "freedom of speech" does not apply here, as your freedoms end when another begins; if you begin flaming another user's race, it is inevitable for retaliation, and a flame war erupts. Your political/social views are be acceptable until they get to the point where they begin to become violent, hateful, and/or targeted towards a certain person/people that are consequently and inevitably afffected.
What is flaming?
Flaming is any unnecessary hateful spam towards another user in an overly condescending tone. "__________ is retarded" is considered a mild flame, and multiple posts of these may result in a mute. More excessive flames will culminate in immediate mutes/bans, such as overly offending remarks, depending on the moderator/administrator that enforces the rule.
