Archer in DLW, advice please

Hello all,

I have a DLW char for a while now, and it was mainly sin.
I like it but for a reason, I always like the archer style more than the sin.
So I reskilled to archer, though I know in DLW, a sin makes more kills.

As a 50 archer I have arc shot, the best skill you can get for DLW. A nice 250% damage shot.
Also a guided arrow, which hits always, but has only 100% damage.

Now the problem is, I wear a CB +7 and I have an AP of 1,1k.
I cannot kill people with guided arrow, cause the damage is just too low.
When I arc shot people, if it hits, it deals quiet some damage, but it's almost impossible to do another hit cause they begin running. So I always leave people at low health, but never can kill them.

Ofcourse some people die in 1 hit, but still, that are just very few.

Please archers out there, give me some advice

go and hide to warders and keep arc shoting ppl who come across

Just camping at our warder? I think I wont make alot of kills there? I don't think so many ppl will come by...or u think they will?

Guided for as long as u can Arc when they come towards u and multishot from close while u pot up.

Most people in dlw don't bother to use pots

Should I even fire guided arrow since it will do lousy damage anyway? Can't I better hope for arc to hit?

ok so mabye u can use guided arrow becuse it doesnt do very much dmg and then if they come for u use arc?

Restat to paper (if u aren't) and use guide arrow.

btw. My main char is an archer but i'm using assassin in DLW, i think assassins better than archers in DLW.

As I said, I know sins make more kills, but I like to try as an archer

I have bigger problems with archers than with sins in DLW.


Maybe you are standing too far away from your target when you start attcking thus giving them enough time to run?
I have never played archer so I am just guessing...

It's going to be instinct for you. It doesn't really differ. You have to learn when you have to place the last shot on someone, and start running towards your target when you think he's gonna run away from you. This way, you can have Guided Arrow placed and + NP for you.

And avoid crowds of people from your nation, (like 20-30 people) unless you know you can place the last hit on the enemy.

Simple tactics.....attacking warriors is almost pointless in DLW as an archer unless they try to tank you then multiarrow owns um....But arcsot if they are running away or towards you, guided arrow if they are running perpendicular to your firing arc and of course multi arrow whenever possible. Most of my kills come from multi arrow, you get some accidental KS kills from guided, and arc sot is good for taking out other archers and mages trying to attack from range or up on the base parapets where they cant move too well. One tactic is kinda gay but it works, wait for your party to engage some enemies and arcshot the melees from a safer distance while they trying to beat your mates down. Sins particularly dont wanna waste ther combo string and tend to stick around on their target

I was paper archer lvl 47 female with 1230 ap iron bow 8.

I never used guided shot coz it sux, use arc shot select enemys (dont use Y ) shot from distance ppl who is standing while atack ( archers, mages ) and that wasnt problem for me i gained alot of nps killed warder serval times.

When youre 1vs1 try to go so closer to enemy to increase arc shot success.. when they slided me they never killed me they need to use combo.
When someone combo on you (doesent matter which ) use arc shot becouse u will hit harder with it then multiple shot.

Take care of potting coz when ure paper u got low mana.
