Ftp open file error

My buddy needs help with this he says his lanucher doesnt auto dl the patches and he has to do it. Once he does it he gets an Ftp open file error hes got vista too. Need some help plz.

dl patch 1719, extract it to ko folder, press yes to all, go to options change version to 1719 and hit 'contest of the update'

www.kingofknight.com thats what i used but then once i dled all the patches and i loged in and clicked teh sever it said please get updated game version or something like that
