with a pc like that you're going to want something bigger than a 500w power supply. it may run fine now but if you plan on doing any overclocking you'll need it.

nowadays the most slow part of pcs are harddisk

only way to make it faster is raid

even at me(i have ssd raid) my lowest windows system score point is harddisk

he will waste alot of money on that cpu and dont make raid

    thats insane

so according to you he should use a raid configuration. i'll assume you would say he should use raid 0 because that's what everybody does.

now, when he uses raid 0 he can't have two hdd of different sizes, or he has to give up some space on the larger disk. the speed benefit is minimal as well (at least when he's not using 70 drives). not to mention the problems he'll face when one of his drives goes down.

raid configuration is meant for servers.

harddisk performance won't really matter much when gaming. and not getting a good score in windows sounds weird, lots of drives score the maximum 5.9 in vista. (the barracuda .11, the deskstar, and probably most of the raptors and velociraptors as well)

lol it insanely differs at gaming if you are playing decent game
at loading times it really makes difference
