i get the 0x0000008E
error and i cant get rid of it i just got this computer im freakin out! lol

Symptoms of the problem

Use Microsoft Update to obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP


... microsoft technet is a wonderful thing

although sp3 is aweful in my experiences so far, so maybe dont get it, but choose "review other updates" and dl them from there

well now my computer is working fine with updates but i cant seem to download anything and my comp is as slow as a seven day itch

I have this problem, and I did download the Service Pack 3, should I uninstall it?
