    hey guys, i keep getting constant disconnects, and it just started like 3-4 days ago. Everything is right with my connection cuz, when i get dced, vent is still fine, and so is msn(etc). Was wondering if anyone know how to fix this problem cuz its a pain in the ass.

    thats sometimes make antivirus... when he scanning runing aplications.

    or try ping usko servers..

    well, i know for a fact its not my antivirus as it was fine all this while till just 4 days ago.

    Also about pinging USKO servers. how would one do that?

    Cuz im still not 110% sure if its my connection or from K2's end.

    would really appreciate it if people could help.

    nah, when i get dc, vent and msn work fine. Its just Ko that gets dced.

    if you loose more than 1 packet in a row, you will dc from ko but still have internet / vent / streaming porn .. whatever it is you do.

    here's how to check :

    start > run > cmd > ping 207.38.30.10 -n 2000

    207.38.30.10 = login server

    watch to see if it times out or if the response time fluctuates dramatically. If you're getting 35ms and suddenly it jumps to 150+ OR you lose alot of packets in a row, your problem is probably with your internet. (see footnotes)

    If you consistently get the same response time it's something else and you will need to do the process of elimination to find out what. That's a whole different chapter.

    You don't have to count 2000 but it will help find random lag spikes if present. I typically would check 1000 while playing just to see what applications cause what issue.


    anyhow with the foot notes....

    In order take the following measures. After each action try the game and ping the server see if that helped.

    1) Turn off/unplug your modem for a few minutes. While turned off make CERTAIN all connections from the wall are tight! (Sometimes a loose connection can ground out and cause lag).

    2) If you have a router, unplug it and go directly to from your modem to your computer.

    3) if you have splitters in your house tighten them. (check for frays / crimps)

    Ok.. if you did all this and are still having problems

    4) do a full maintenance on your machine. (btw.. disk clean-up.. NEVER compress old files.. bad bad BAD)

    5) Download and run HijackThis ( use any one of these tutorials

    6) Adaware, spybot, et al.

    7) Steps 4-6 are there to make sure you don't waste time with this step. Call the IP Service provider. When they ask if you have a router.. tell them no.. whether you do or don't tell them no. They are morons and this is why they make shitty money in a shitty job dealing with pissed off people. This is also why they justify telling you their service is wonderful and your router is breaking everything. They know you know better. (I'm not bitter)

    8) They will re-provision your modem. If you've gotten to this step it still won't work. Have Tech come out. Demand he inspect the aerial and the unit before the drop. If that STILL doesn't work.. you're on Comcast High Speed and the Node is fucked up and out dated. at which point

    9) Call and cry and complain until they send a team to replace the node. Your service will drastically improve.

    I'm still not bitter..


    If this doesn't fix your issue..

    well you could have a bad ethernet card or cat5 cable. You could be using a Mac. You could have a virus. (PS I recommend Comodo Personal Firewall .. it could be alot of things.
