Xtrap troubleshooting

Several users are complaining about errors with the latest version of KO anticheat, Xtrap. Please follow this short guide in order to troubleshoot the problem:

1. The first thing u need to be sure of, is that u have the latest version of Xtrap installed. This is done automatically when u load the game, but sometimes cause of firewalls or network problems, is not done. The current version is 1136. To verify what version u have, run KO and wait til the Xtrap tray icon appears. Put your mouse over the Xtrap tray icon and u should see this:

If the number is different, then u have a different/older version and KO will show and error message and then close. This cause could be u haven't updated (offline explorer) or cause the files are corrupt. To update properly, delete your KnightonlineXtrap folder and run KO again. KO should create the folder again and install all required updated files. Try again and u should get 1136 version.

2. APIHOOKCRACK error. This error is cause u are using older version of Xtrap files or u can't contact Xtrap server in Korea. Please read step 1. If u are sure u are using current version, then please make sure your firewall is not blocking host 211.115.86.67 port 2000.

3. APIHACK error. This can be caused also by older or corrupted Xtrap files or some 3rd party software considered by Xtrap as a hack. Please read step 1 a nd be sure that u are using latest version of Xtrap. Some antiviruses could also trigger this error message. Be sure the computer u are using doesnt have KOXP (look for QSAK or akii in your registry) or any hack installed. If nothing works, please post here the Antivirus u are using.

Also u can manually update Xtrap by downloading the latest version from here:

ftp://download.knightonlineworld.com/xtrap/

get into the latest (higher number) directory and download all those files into your Xtrap folder.

I have installed this, done exactly as you have recommended. I still cannot access port 2000. I have opened this port in my network places area and I can ping it.. just failed when i telnet etc. Any ideas?

Nothing is running: I shut down vent, msn, firewall, antivitus, et al

I have dl the 1136

I have gone into my router and opened port 2000 TCP and UDP always

I have reinstalled the game

I have deleted the test server

I have allowed 211.115.86.67 as a trusted site

I have added this port to my network places

I have gotten frustrated and watched 15 minutes of free porn on the internet... in the interest of testing my connection

Now I am exhausted iwth ideas and am at your mercy. I have not much to offer but I offer Stellar Gypsy's anal virginity to you in hopes that you will help me fix my game.

Did that too. This is so bizarre. I can access with my secondary machine no issue.

So, until I can resolve this, I hereby blame every screw up on lag.

xtrap is clearly unstable i keep getting this problem re occuring everytime computer crashes normally when i open inn hostress and go thru pages

hmmm i had the same problem with xtrap and the apihack error...i manual downloaded the updates to xtrap and it still didnt work...i tryed started ko from the launcher a couple times to c if i got the same error, the first 2 times i did, but on the 3rd time the xtrap auto uploaded somethen...and it all of a sudden worked XD im really happy that it did work..but anyone know y?? like anyone know wats goen on?

ok i got CODE_FIELD [02-0300-00000000-044] does that help by any chance? i mean its different from the 1ns that other people got... and i tried to do all that trouble shooting stuff and other stuff that has been posted and no fun and games yet! i mean y doesnt Xtrap know what its doing b4 it tries to get smart (dumbasses) and block the good players instead of the hackers! I MEAN! = i seen more hackers around (logged on a computer i cant use) (not this 1 thats mine) and they dont get banned or "Xtraped" psht! MAN! y is KO so gay with good people!?
