FIX FOR MERCHANT MESSAGES

You know that merchant sell messages come up as 35928698 #'42 932984623 #~@_@^^^%$% and crap like that, well I was told a while back there was a way to correct them. So I fiddled with my KO files and now I get the proper messages back, so I can see who buys what for how much

Take the file "texts_us.tbl" from the 1299 download of KO and replace the current version. It lives in the "Data" folder.

As to whether this might have any knock-on effect with things not working... Well I can't be sure yet, but if anyone else is feeling brave, then there's the fix.
Found one bug when using this fix: Non-premium members trying to log in see no text in the "non-premium users cannot log in at this time" message.

I popped the file on my website too if anyone wants it. Here it is

Just unzip it into the crogram filesknightonlinedata folder

If a moderator wants to check the file for viruses or whatever then please feel free. I just ripped it right out of the 1299 version of KO (installed on a spare PC and didn't run the launcher, so no updates).

It works, i use file form 1301 version... tested one from 1299, no difference with it.

Just noticed last night it also fixes "absorb" weapons

No more MP E03, it's back to MP Absorbed in the description :lol:

edit: just noticed that with this fix you no longer see the text when that box pops up with the "Non-Premium users are not allowed bla bla bla". Probably happens the same with the other messages in that box.

After placing that file, I noticed that "non-prem user 80% crap" message is missing. I seems you can't fix something without messing something else.

I can decrypt and encrypt .tbl files easy. I'll check whats the difference between that file and the current one so we can get a current one fixed instead of just using the old one.

Someone can upload the current one somewhere? Dont have KO here :P
