Fraps / Gamecam

So, for some weird ass reason when i start Fraps or Gamecam my game becomes extremly laggy...

TBH i don't really know how to set it up, the programs, to record well for my computer..

So is anyone willing to help me figure this out.. ??

Well , atleast I think I can help you with 1 answer , buy a new pc

because with my old pc I tried to record with Fraps , Makes me lag like 9 fps in a shooter , that means unplayable xd <-- Hope you understand this
With gamecam I don&#39;t know but thats weard :P if you record its ugly.

Well anyway what pc do you have ? its old or not ?

I just followed the instrucitons on fraps website. If that doesn&#39;t work, try using the In-built recorder ingame and if that doesn&#39;t work either I suggest you buy a new PC

With Fraps Your Best Bet Is To Record Onto A Second Harddrive creates less lag then.

With a dual core cpu and 2GB ram its no problem recording at best settings with fraps, preferably you should record to a 2hdd (not to the hdd that have windows) and ofc not a laptop.

i don&#39;t see why my PC would be the problem..

it works fine, i run games just fine..never laggy etc..

only when i use these damned programs.. o.O

and does the built in recorder really work?

Exactly.
With gamecam i cant record shit in WarRock i get like 10fps.
With guncam no problem.

yea, just downloaded guncam..atm its working 100x better

open the main screen for fraps and there is a FPS setting i set mine at 120 and it runs good pic the option best for ur computer through to stop the lag also set the video to record at a different resolution ( dont remember what the settings are at work atm) but just stay in the main town luf or elmo and see what works best i did not know this at first and learned by simple trial and error

I lag with Guncam @ recording @ 20FPS
