Game lag

Well I dunno if this belongs here but this is a computer related question. I recently reformatted my computer and everything is running really smooth. Everything except for pc games. In this case its oblivion. Anyways before the reformat it was running really smoothly but now I get major and continous lag even at the minimum performance levels. Any ideas why?

edit: fixed it the drivers for my video card were outdated

i thought the lags were from my isp, but devile told me it was k2.... i think its `b fault, but ye, im getting awefull lags too

I have this problem too but whenever i get lag i just restart my computer and connection a few times , then it works good .
