its not saying update complete, and ive left it for 10mins more

At kodb.info all servers are up and it still shows `checking version bla bla`

Well um... yeah that sometimes happens during maintenance... depends whether they completely shut down the login server or not.

Unless this is still happening to you, then I think you can change the Subject to "Please Close"
