since my i just broke my laptop.. ive noticed that i would need a backup pc. (KO WITHDRAWAL SUCKS BALLS) ok so ive decided i want to make my own pc, save some money. what is the bare minimum i'd need to run games like DoD:souce and CS:S and ofc KO. I've been looking into barebones kits but im not sure which would be the best for me. can someone experienced put together a good list of computer components that would be right for me costing around 500$?

    Asus p5p800 se mainboard
    pentium IV 2,8 GhZ
    Radeon 9800 XL or PRO
    1024 Mb RAM memory
    some hard drive

And you'll have a pc for less than 300 $ running the above games without problems on highest details... The thing is that if you want to run something newer you might not be able to

just spend $300 more and not have to upgrade ur PC for another 5 years....your PC will be outdated in 2 at the most.

My thing is, Why sit here and buy a shit computer [under 1000$] When it will be outdated and not able to play any new game's - Why not put 1000$ More into it, And get a totally kickass computer - that will still play thing's coming out 7 years from now? One of my computers are nearly... hm 6-7 year's old - And still play's COD4 on medium graphics, Only thing I bought new was a AGP video card for it - Work's still like a charm.
