Is there any part on the loading screen, that takes much more time
than any other?

like.. Character data takes 1min, other totally 20 sec?

Effect data takes approx. 21 seconds, objects takes approx 7 seconds, Character data takes about 15 seconds. The rest just zooms through.

Weird shit going on here O,O first time loading takes me like 20 - 30 seconds, second time loading is like 4 - 5 seconds? And my pc isnt even as good as yours. Does your firewall let ko through? And for ingame lag, faster internet / modem / router could help.

Yeah see? Exactly. My computer is pretty beastly, and it takes me so damn long to log in, while people with shittier computers than me load in like 10x faster.

Start --> Run --> write: "msconfig"
go to the autostart tab, disable everything!
restart your comp.
check if Knight Online loads faster.
if it does :
enable one after one, to see which is the problem.
i would still guess, it's the anti-virus.

Got an intel core 2 duo 2,4 ghz
4 gig ram
geforce 260 gtx
and just a normal hdd

You could also buy a faster hdd maybe? A solid state drive? They are way faster then normal drives.

But the thing is, it's JUST Knight Online. All my other games run faster and smoother without any lags..

Firewall blocks it? Else reinstall ko and dont install the fast loading patch, it does not work anymore so.

The only thing that really effects the load in screen (besides RAM which obviously isn't the problem) is going to be the amount of time it takes to read/write from the file on your HDD. Do you have a 5400 RPM HDD? I'd guess you'd be smart enough to get a 7200 but let's just assume.

The fast load patch isn't going to reduce lag you see in game, and if it's loading slow, and choppy in game, it's most likely the game file. First thing I would do is uninstall the game, get rid of the old registry and completely re-instal the game.

I also know that KO is VERY processor dependant (even compared to newer, more demanding games) so you can try to raise the priority in your task manager to see if that speeds things up. Dont put it to realtime cuz it will lag the fuck out of everything else.

I have a slower CPU, same RAM, less storage, and a slower GPU and my game loads in 2.3 seconds and I can record with Fraps in the middle of morodon with names on at 30 FPS all day long.

see if you got windows 7 try to run as adminstartor and maybe it will fix it
if it dont work you need to check about your Internet connection ..

try going to ur ko settings
change graphic qualities all to low remove all efects except weapon effects visibilty range minimum and number of effect and distance save and start dont press start on launcher open task manager check for any un needed programs tht are running terminate the processes (be carefull with what u terminate - only terminate process aside to ur user name)
and then try logging in hope it works
u can also try and download game booster it helps massively

it all has to do with your internet speed.
2 years ago it used to take me like 10 minutes to load into KO.
Since I have a new PC / internet I usually load within 20 seconds into KO!
You can try to find out what ports KO uses, and try to open them that way (go into ur router)
