How to use Vegas Pro 8.0?

I just got Vegas Pro 8.0 and i have no idea how to use it.. I opened it and i don't know anything, ive searched information but non seem to help me, anyone used it before? Thanks.

best way to learn is to mess around and see what the tools and shit do.

I just recently got it too, and it took me a few days to get somewhat comfortable with it. What you should do is go over the manual to familiarize your self with the terms. Then search on youtube "sony vegas 8 pro tutorial (insert effect here)". I learned quit a bit from em.
