Xrap error: Can't creat D3D Device- please, check Directx...

Xrap error: Can't creat D3D Device- please, check Directx or Display card drive. This error message comes up right after xtrap does patch dx. I have never had a problem playing/loading KE until 3 days ago.

I have:

(1) Reinstalled KE
(2) Downloaded the lasted Directx Driver (9.0 for windows 2K).
(3) Copied the latest xtrap folder (A5001136) contents into my xtrap folder.
(4) Downloaded the lastest drivers for my video card, ATI Radeon 9200SE, from the ATI website.

The problem continues to persist. Any advice welcome.

i think u are using tnt2 64 pro graphic card . i had this problem to, you only need the upgrade ur graphic card drivers. then the problem will be solved.
