wiresless mouse hookup with vista

i got no clue what im doing wrong i installed from website like it said. its a logitech mouse and there wasnt really a indept manual
so im wondering if any tech peeps can help me out

have u tried to press the connect buttons on the botton of the mouse and on the reciever?

logitech mouses should work without any programs on vista.
