whats the differnce is the slots for them differnt or do they both fit the same type of slot cuz im looking to buy a new vid card and then 1 im looking at is for pci-e and my pc has pci doesnt say anything bout pic-e any help would be great

PCI and PCI-e are not compatible... If you have a card that says it's PCI-e, you can't put it in a PCI slot... if your computer is older than a year, you may not have a PCI-e slot, be careful with what you buy

First you had ISA then they made PCI, when that was to slow they made AGP and now they made PCI-Express becuse AGP was to slow for the video cards.
