Default Ko is uncompatable with this computer I spent money on. >

Wow... My brother told me AMD processors DO NOT work with ko. All my friends have AMD processors and said intel is not for gaming. Well I got an amd processor in this new computer and ko WILL NOT WORK. As soon as I run it error message will show up. It says "knight online has experienced a problem and needs to close". It says that on my brother's computer and now it says that on mine. I'm sure most of you guys have AMD processors and ko works fine I'll assume. But then, WHY IN THE FUCK WILL THIS GAME NOT WORK ON A BRAND ASS NEW COMPUTER THEN! I need help otherwise I can't play on a computer I spent a grand on. >_>

Are you using XP x64 (64bit)?
    Is it a dual core?

As for SP2, it might be ok to not install it if the computer is behind a hardware firewall, but systems with a direct internet connection need to have the latest patches, otherwise bad things will happen. It's actually becoming more common for trojans and other malware to use holes in IE and even windows itself to install themselves on your computer.

The reason software firewalls "block everything" is because that's what they are suppose to do. You tell it what programs should have internet/network access. Then, if a keylogger is installed, it will alert you saying that this program you've never heard of is trying to access the internet.

AMD or Intel really doesn't matter nearly as much as it use to. Both companys make good processors. Any game performance difference in comparable AMD and Intel CPUs wouldn't be any greater than going up or down a model on either side.

    AMD > Intel

i would try updating all your drivers, if you just bought the pc and its some brand-name pc you most likelly have the OEM drivers installed, time to use your internet and find updates.

best idea when asking for tech support/help is to be as specific as possible. "AMD" and "BRAND ASS NEW COMPUTER" isnt much help.

Old topic, but why you need sp2 is becuse new Nvidia and Ati drivers demands it.
